"As a first time customer ordering from The Grill, the food was good. I did a delivery order of beef bulgogi for myself and fried dumplings for my coworkers (which they tremendously enjoyed) The sides that came with the bulgogi were delicious and the kimchi was spicy. The fried dumplings came with a delicious sauce. 5 out of 5 for the food and the dasher who delivered. Price wise, it was on the pricier side however this was a treat for myself so I didn't mind. Overall I will be ordering food from here in the future."
"This is an awesome place! We had duck bbq, and we grilled the meat right in front of us. Duck meat was tender and juicy!! Kimchi, green onion salad and other sides dishes that come with the meal, without extra charges, was perfect with the meat!"
"I love the look of this place. For a k-bbq place, it’s pretty modern and usually not super crowded. The service is horrible. I’ve been here twice, once with a big group(8+), one with a small group(3). Both times the service was so slow for AYCE. We ordered just kalbi short ribs from the AYCE menu for our table as there was only 3 of us. The waitress only brought one single plate of 3 short ribs on it. The service kept up this way the entire time we were there. I would say if you are going for AYCE, expect horrible and slow customer service. Of course, if you are ordering plates of meat from the regular menu, you will get much quicker service as I’m sure that’s where they make most of their money. Otherwise, if you’re looking for AYCE, 0/10 don’t recommend."
"Overpriced Experience! We saw this place on Instagram and decided to try it. We went in for lunch on a Saturday. We got seated instantly, which was awesome. The restaurant wasn’t busy; only a few tables were occupied. It took a while for someone to take our orders. We wanted to order drinks first but were told we couldn’t because we had to start with the barbecue first. We were given 1 fork 2 spoons and 2 chopsticks for 3 and had to ask and wait for more. It was $41 per person because of the weekend, and seven-year-olds and up also have to pay that rate. The price includes 1 soju, 1 beer, and a soft drink. Not wanting a beer, we chose 2 soju and 1 soft drink and were charged $16 for the second Soju. At this point, our moods were down already. After picking the proteins we wanted, here comes another wait time. So overall, it is $41 per person, with a 60-minute time limit but yet extra slow service. We paid $155.24 for 2 adults and 1 kid barbecue lunch. We liked the atmosphere and all but this experience wasn't the best."
""The Grill" Korean BBQ in Lakewood, Washington, offers an authentic and flavorful dining experience that captures the essence of Korean cuisine. As you step into the restaurant, you'll be greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere with a modern yet traditional Korean decor. The heart of the experience at "The Grill" lies in the tableside grilling. You'll be seated at a table equipped with a built-in grill, where you can cook a variety of marinated meats and vegetables to your liking. The staff will provide you with a selection of high-quality cuts like bulgogi (thinly sliced marinated beef), galbi (short ribs), and samgyeopsal (pork belly). Each bite is a burst of savory and umami flavors, enhanced by the smoky grill. Complementing the grilled meats are an array of banchan, which are small side dishes that add depth and complexity to the meal. These might include kimchi, pickled vegetables, and various dipping sauces, all contributing to a symphony of tastes and textures. To complete the authentic Korean BBQ experience, you can wrap the grilled meats in lettuce leaves, adding a bit of rice and some banchan for a delightful ssam (lettuce wrap). The combination of flavors, from the tender meat to the crunch of fresh lettuce and the spiciness of the kimchi, creates a truly memorable culinary adventure. "The Grill" Korean BBQ in Lakewood, Washington, is not just a meal; it's an immersive journey into Korean culture through its delicious and flavorful dishes."
