Wooden City Tacoma

"A friend recommended I try this place for a date night rendezvous while in town and it DID NOT disappoint. Service was attentive and impeccable. The well-made craft cocktails came out quickly (and tasted wonderful) and the pace from appetizers to entrees was perfect. To start, we enjoyed the Caesar salad, which was creamy and had deliciously crunchy croutons. We also ordered the very photogenic salmon toast; it was equally beautiful and tasty. For our mains, we dined on the scallops with risotto and spicy lamb rigatoni. The scallops were buttery and melt-in-your-mouth tender. They easily rank among the best I've ever had (bravo on that dish!). The rigatoni was good but underwhelming (and comparable to any at-home pasta night). I do wish I'd have tried something else instead... Observing the tables next to ours, I could easily see there's more on the menu I want to return to try. *The tables are "cozy close" to say the least and require reservations. Definitely get here. Great restaurant!"

"Went here to celebrate my birthday. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The food is spectacular! The portions are perfect. You feel well fed but not over stuffed. The beet ravioli is something I will be thinking about for a long time!!! Thank you Wooden City for a fantastic birthday dinner!"
