Reviews
"The portions and prices are absolutely amazing, I'll give a place 5 Stars just based on that these days with how expensive it is elsewhere. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. The service staff was a little standoffish that's why I only gave 3 Stars for service, maybe they were all having a bad day, who knows. Regardless, I would come here again and again for portion and price alone!"
"Updates: New owners did not make this place better, sadly. We came to get sushi and the prices are not very friendly. My husband got two cheaper rolls so he could have more food whereas I got one special roll, but somehow we got basically the same amount of food. As you can see, we both had two rows of sushi even though we paid for 3 rolls. The least favorable part was the eel they used as the eel had some BONES in it. We talked to them, and they said it was normal for eel to have bones in. Out of the many places I had sushi, this was the first place I had bones in my eel. Absolutely a NO for me. Ps. they did not refund us because it’s supposed to be normal. —— My pork teriyaki was great; I liked it! The salad was good too. However, the noodles are not great. Pricey but almost tasteless. You can taste that it’s spicy and the other flavors are not quite there. Kinda like paying for the meat and veges only. My boyfriend said it used to be much better a long time ago."
"I’ve been a KT customer for nearly my entire decade living here. Their sushi and yakisoba were incredible with tons of fresh veggies and fish. For the last few years, the quality has severely declined, the prices are way too high, and the portion sizes have been halved. I can normally order two large entrees online for pickup for around $35. Today, I ordered from their new website for pickup. One portion of “large” beef yakisoba (an additional $4) with fried rice (an additional $2) was $27 +change after taxes and fees. There was a suggested tip of $4 which was shocking as I was picking it up and the price was already sky-high. I figured there would be enough beef to skip out on our usual order of orange chicken or beef bulgogi. I was very wrong. The amount of beef is like one piece shredded into almost ground-like chipped beef. There were soggy pieces of cabbage scattered throughout with some squishy veggies - definitely not the fresh, crispy veggies I’m used to. The noodles seemed cheaper and thinner, too, almost like spaghetti. The yakisoba sauce was even different, with a sickly sweet finish. Needless to say, the steep increase in prices for what tastes like prison food just isn’t worth it anymore."
"Single handedly the FRESHEST sushi on the Peninsula. And somehow the best price?! The tuna on the spicy tuna roll was like butter. Great portions, even better staff! They were all very helpful and super kind. Do your self a favor and stop in."
"They take orders on speaker the entire time you are there. Wife ordered 1 rocknroll sushi roll and a drink with 2 sauces. Charged $24 bucks, charged about $1.50 for each sauce. Drink is small and only get 1 refill. Don't recommend. Was still hungry after."
