"A few things occurred last Friday evening while driving behind one of your trucks (The trailer had a large "403" on it) that lead to this negative review. 1) The load was uncovered, resulting in our vehicle being pelted with bark chips for ~5 miles (even after trying to increase following distance, when the driver ultimately started slowing down excessively, causing following distance to shrink). There is no reason to have an uncovered load, period (even moreso when you've got a motor-driven cover like your driver did!) 2) The driver varied their speed excessively. I understand it's a bit of a winding road, but the speed limit is 50, and the majority of the curves say "40" as the advisory speed; there is no reason to be going 25 mph while swerving. 3) The MOST egregious event was we came to a stop behind the truck at a red light. Thankfully we were about 3 car lengths back by this point, but the truck started rolling backwards towards us - honking and flashing lights had no effect, we had to switch into reverse and back up in order to avoid a major accident. This is unacceptable, and frankly, extremely dangerous. You need to review AND ENFORCE safety and driving standards with your drivers.
