Jiffy Lube

"My girlfriend has gone here a few times and I wouldn't recommend that you go there because they're bad even for a quick lube. To start she wanted me to go with her because they're always trying to upsell something to her and make it sound like an absolute necessity which I experienced when I went there. Two oil changes ago she said that she was nervous because she was going to go over the 3k mile mark on her drive home and I told her that it's not something that you want to make a habit of but going 15 miles over isn't going to destroy her engine if there's enough oil in the engine. I was shocked when there was just a sliver on the dipstick so after getting her some more oil I pulled it in and jacked it up to see where the leak was and it turned out that the oil filter wasn't even close to being tight and so I took some pictures of it and told her I will be coming with her when she goes in to let them know. They acted like it wasn't a big deal but instead told me that they would make sure it was tight. After a about 10 minutes I noticed that there were a couple of people looking a little confused before pulling over the system they have for pumping the oil out of the dipstick tube. I asked why they decided to go that route and was told it was because they didn't have the correct socket which is pathetic since a 14mm is one of the most used bolts on many Asian cars but didn't want to make an issue out of it. After looking under there myself later on it seems like despite not having the correct socket the decided to try it anyway and rounded off the drain plug to the point that I needed to loosen it up using a vise grips. After their response to the oil filter I can't help but feel like it's pretty pointless saying anything so instead I'm going to teach her how to change her own oil."
