"Nice place just not used to it's potential unfortunately"
"The lake itself is not fit for swimming. The lake is covered most of the year with green toxic algae. It is very dangerous."
"This place used to be great, now it's just ok. The lake has garbage floating in it & all around it, is unsafe to swim in, and has gnarly looking algae. I would not fish here if you plan on consuming the fish. All that aside, plenty of picnic tables and restrooms. Covered areas are available as well, and grills. Just wish they would clean this lake up and restore it to its former glory."
"The city of Menomonie needs to work on the lake to clean it off. In a different cities, such as Rice Lake has a machine that will clean the lake. 4th of July celebration was perfect but the view of the lake isn't that good. I hope they will work on it for this session!"
"Nice place for family and group picnics. Lots of picnic tables and shelters. Restrooms available. Community pool adjacent and several softball diamonds. More people go to the pool than the beach, so it can be a quiet getaway. The Fish and Game Club is just down the road. They may have events or the bar open. Check their website."
