"UW-madison students will always find a way to complain, but you don't know what you have until you lose it. The Nic and the Bakke, while of course not perfect, are some of the nicest and most unbelievable fitness facilities that we will probably encounter in our lives. Brand new equipment, dumbbells, an olympic pool?, 8 full size multi-purpose courts? Are you serious? Recreation and Wellbeing should be the standard nationwide for running fitness programs and facilities. Sadly, RecWell sets the bar way too high, and once students graduate, they are left thinking - why did I ever leave Madison?"

"For a gym this massive it sort of disappoints. Every gym I’ve been to has something different to offer as far as strength equipment, however nothing here stands out. There is a lot of open space to improve. Gets the job done but very basic."

"The badminton court here is pretty nice, but you might want to come here in the morning or early in the afternoon if you want to borrow a badminton racket, the court can be pretty full after 3pm."

"The best free gym (fees covered in your segregated fee) you could ever had at a university. Everything here is professional (mostly impressed by their high-quality Olympic barbells), and will make you feel good even if you’re not an athlete. Most equipment are free for rent. Tips: go in the morning to avoid waiting for instruments or share them with a crowd."
