Reviews
"Probably one of the smallest and lesser known beaches of Madison, WI. Often has no city staff nearby for basically the entire day, and it is usually less clean than the other larger beaches. 3/1/2023 Update: The beach drastically changed since I reviewed it/visited it. There were 2-3 houses left of where the lifeguard post was, and there was no playground structure. It now has its own dedicated park building and a parking area. Previously, this beach had a very steep hill to go down to gain access."
"Adorable beach for kids to swim. The sandy section is probably only 60' wide and 30' deep. The perimeter defined by large stones and wild grasses. At the center is a large elevated chair painted red for lifeguard, who was not present when we visited on a Tuesday evening mid-August. Very simple and relaxing."
"Nice park. I don't think you can swim at the beach anymore because of all the seaweed. But very peaceful and calm."
"Nice sliver of a park on Lake Monona, with a small beach, not far from Capitol. Good place for a quick rest."
"Great beach in the winter. -1 star because the ice started cracking while we were walking on it, too scary."
