"I’ve stayed here many times and each time it has been wonderful! Great hospitality and a great location! Always very clean and hospitable."
"Bedbugs, horrible experience! Do not recommend. They didn't offer any help or to move us. Will never go back. ***Update*** I feel that I must update my review and give a bit more background in response. This happened about Wednesday at nearly eleven at night, my daughter was itching and we saw that she had bug bites. My wife and I did a thorough inspection of the room and found traces of bedbugs. We tried calling the after-hours number multiple times, it took forever for someone to get back to us. By the time they did get back to us all they did was take out the mattress and the box spring and brought in a new mattress. They brought back in the exact same box spring and then try to lie about it and say it was a new box spring how we know it was the exact same box spring was because there was a crack in the bottom of it and that exact same crack was in the same box spring that they brought back. They try to lie about it. It wasn't until the health inspector was there and that I had to call the man out that it was the exact same box spring before he admitted that yes he brought in the exact same box spring that had the traces of bed bugs back in the room. Who knows where they put the mattress that could be in contaminating other rooms. Thew were extremely rude about this whole situation. Think about if this was your own child and how you would feel if you were in that situation. There are more pictures we posted because we didn't even mention in the first part of the review about how disgusting everything was once we started doing an investigation. There are now updated pictures with more things that we didn't even put in the initial review which is what initially let us to call the health department . I hate liars we did stay there for that last night decontaminating our things and putting everything in big plastic contractor bags because we didn't want to have bed bugs in our house. The only recourse that they offered was for us to get a different hotel and if they could find active bed bugs they would reimburse us, which is absolutely unacceptable. They said that they were completely booked which is not true because when the health department did the bed bug inspection the next day, there was vacant rooms that they checked to see if there was bed bugs there as well. So they could have moved us, they could have offered to move us and provided options to a different room. We did stay for the health inspection because we were afraid that they were going to remove evidence, which they tried doing right in front of the health inspector mind you, there was a bed bug hanging from the box spring that the maintenance guy tried to take off and the health inspector herself had to say don't do that and made him hold the bug up so she could take a picture of it in his hand. This was a horrible experience for us. We ended our vacation early we were supposed to be there until Saturday and we left Thursday right after the the health inspector. The health inspector did say that they didn't find any active bugs but that doesn't mean that there wasn't still a few that could have been alive that would have bitten our daughter. I was not there for their Safeway inspection because we left after the health inspection but looking at the state of the room you can see why we called the health inspector and why we do not recommend anybody staying at this hotel based on our experience."
"Our first time visiting this area. Oconomowoc is a nice town with a lot to offer in the way of outside activities and dining. We booked our stay at Olympia via Resort Vacation Certificates. If you're looking for a resort atmosphere this isn't the place for you. However, if you're looking for a quiet place off the beaten path this place will work. Outside is ready for a refresh, both the buildings and the landscaping. There is no view to speak of unless you go for a walk. A small pond is located just around the corner (right next to a construction site). The inside of our unit was very clean. The furniture very dorm-like in nature. Not designed for comfort but rather to withstand use. It was nice and clean however. The staff was very nice and helpful. Though it's not likely we'll vacation in this particular area again the accommodations were fine for our needs."
"The location is semi-convenient to local attractions, and the layout of the place was nice. However, the air conditioning could not keep up with the (very normal for this area) heat, there bed was the first I've ever slept on, and the dishes are kid-sized. We also rented a movie to watch on the TV, and then discovered that the TV and DVD player (not Blu-ray capable) are extremely poor quality."
"We rented a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath condo. It is a dump, to put it nicely. It is very, very outdated. The pictures that were listed on VRBO (conveniently removed) showed renovated properties. Our furniture is from the 80's, the kitchen 60's or 70's carpeting maybe 90's. There are tears in furniture, the smell is ridiculous, the carpeting is so dirty and stained. The whole place is awful. We are here from out of town for a wedding or I would leave immediately. Part of the condos appear to be apartments, full of kids who like to make trouble. At $200 a night, for a dump, we are also expected to remove our own sheets and take out our trash. The mattresses are so old you sink in when you sit or lay on them. I would post pictures but for some reason it does not allow me to do so."
