"Always fun, busy,(hot day) crowded but plenty of room on beach."
"This is such a nice beach! There was plenty of clean sand to play and sit in. The water was clean for a lake. The lifeguards were friendly. We really liked that we could bring floats in the water and the kids were allowed to swim without having to be told they couldn't go under water. It was a really good place to spend the day. There was also a really nice jungle gym, bathrooms and a concession stand."
"Picked up an Italian beef sandwich at Bella Gusto. Drove 2 blocks, grabbed one of the few remaining open parking spaces, and sat at a picnic table shaded by trees. It was 90°, but wanted to eat outside. There are 8 tables. Only 1 other was taken. I used to ride my bike to the beach and swim laps early in the morning. However, as I have picked up swimmers' or duck itch (a parasite) when I swam in Lac LaBelle, I joined the Y, swim in the pool, and only have used the beach a couple of times in the past 4 years. If you do swim, rinse off and towel dry by rubbing to reduce duck itch. The itching lasts for 2 weeks or so."
