Reviews of Rancho Bernardo Community Park
"San Diego City fields are garbage. Grass is not kept up and lots of dirt patches. At least cut the grass frequently."
"Nice large park with lots of amenities. Baseball fields, tennis courts, open fields, playgrounds (one with sand pit, the other with wood chips)horse shoes, a long walking trail/ sidewalk surrounding it all. Recreational center with basketball ball courts, and setups for volleyball and pickle ball. Outdoor basketball courts as well. Parking lot can get crowded. Parts of the park need maintenance. Nice overall."
"I like this park. It’s large, normally I would say there is ample parking. Unfortunately, yesterday was a disappointment. Soccer season has started and obviously there is lack of communication with Park or City management! Parking was atrocious as there was a 5K Donut Run and A full day of youth Soccer Games. Getting through the parking lot was difficult, let alone finding any parking. No official control present at all. And my biggest pet peeve, the fields the kids were playing on were soaked! Totally muddy! Obviously someone can’t get the watering schedule programmed correctly! Or were unaware due to poor communication. They need to adjust the watering schedule so that it coordinates with activities! We have technology that allows this to be programmed well in advance! Which would also allow scheduling, tracking and monitoring of weather conditions that would allow for MUCH more efficient watering and potentially save tons of city resources and revenue. But the field conditions are not acceptable and should be addressed!"
"Nice park to walk and to enjoy a family outing for the day, walk your dog or let the kids run, go to the playground or even play a little baseball. Nice clean bathrooms, rec center adjacent opens at 9am"
"There's a reason RB only has one public park, it's because the park is huge and has everything. Baseball fields, basketball & tennis courts, horseshoe pits, playgrounds and more. Lots of free parking , a community center and miles of walking park."
