"Went in mid February so it was off season and cool. The lines were not long and we got into everything. Some of the shows were great, but not over the top, just great. The animals seem happy there. Lots of great exhibits and the roller coasters were great too. The food is just not great, but is expensive."
"Sea World in San Diego is a large park with rides, a nice area to see the whales, and whale and dolphin shows. They also have penguins and other fish that you can touch. I was not impressed with any of it and we will not be back. The only reason I am giving 3 stars and not 2 is because the staff is super nice and know the area well. Parking is for a fee and get ready to walk to the gate. The day we were there it was so hot and there is no escape from it. They don't have enough places to sit and when you find one you might very well be in the sun. It was miserable. Getting in took about 20 minutes, so they should staff up. The food selection is very poor. They have sandwiches, burgers etc., but none of it is good and we had to wait until we left to have a real meal. The rides are fun for kids, but the lines are long so get ready to wait, in the heat. They have dolphin and whale shows. We wanted to see one and they were all cancelled for the time we picked. No notice, nothing. I really felt ripped off. They have a fish petting area that is not supervised and kids just grab star fish etc. and this is cruel. Can they at least have someone that says no, don't put the starfish in your pocket. They also have an area where you can put your hand in and the wrasse will nibble on your hand. At least they enjoy that, but again, not one attendant to deal with kids that are not being raised with any manners by parents. The place is pretty clean. Overall, it was very disappointing and even my grandkid does not want to come back. Bye Sea World."
"Good set of carnival style rides and activities for small children 2-6 years old, then there is a gap for older taller kids around 8+ because a few rides have minimum height requirements at 42 and 48 inches each rider. You can search the requirements in the free app and some rides allow smaller riders to be accompanied by an older guardian or parent such as tentacle twirl, the large swing carousel. All day dining is worth it for the cost after 2 meals but wait times can be long. You can redeem a meal every 2 hours with the pass. Food quality is consistent and good at most places especially the bbq. Many more shows and activities are scheduled daily and listed on the app. Loved the seal show and if you want to stay dry at the dolphins show get a seat above the middle row."
"We had an amazing day! Everything was so much fun. The dolphin and orca whale displays were fascinating and the rides were exhilarating. Highly recommended! And because it was January, the lines were pretty quick. The only points of improvement for me would be the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the cost of the food. For 4 people's lunch we paid just over $100."
"Definitely wonderful experience with kiddos. Theme park is unique with several kinds of shows with Sea life and thrilling rollercoasters. I would recommend to go early, park is less crowded in the morning so you will get opportunity to go for most of rides with less wait time, it got busy by afternoon. If you have toddler, you should spend some time at Rescue Jr. specifically targeted for young kids. For holiday period they have Christmas themed decorations all over, Photo booths with Santa Clause, Christmas Lighting and Parade, Laser show at closing time. Only issue I see is parking is very expensive $30 per vehicle."
