"The new transition from Dane County Credit Union to Heartland has been a grueling experience for me and my daughter. My daughter's debit card was already compromised within the first week and called to get that disputed and they told us we had to call a 3rd party 888 number to dispute the fraudulent charges. After calling the 3rd party, they said it would take 15 days or so for them to make the decision on if the dispute was valid and then have the money back into our account. So, Heartland was unable to allow us to dispute the charges over the phone with them or in the bank in person, we had to call a 3RD PARTY. Still haven't received our money back so I called them back today and they said they issued a provisional credit to Heartland, but it's not showing up in my account. I called Heartland, they said they don't see anything either. So now Heartland had to send an email to their managers asking what was going on, then they will call me back once they have an answer. All the while, we are out $$$ that we never charged. Dane County Credit Union would've disputed the charge right then and there and issued a provisional credit the same day. So unhappy about this merger. We are taking all 6 accounts and getting the heck out of Heartland CU. I have heard a lot of customers of Dane County Credit Union are so displeased."
