Doctors of Optometry - Bay Park Square

"Dr. Vanderloop was great. I really liked him taking time to listen to a concern I had, give me an answer and still check my eyes to be sure. He made sure I understood I didn’t need drops every year. He also wanted to be sure I was getting good contacts that would be comfortable. Unfortunately it was after he dropped me off in the room to put on my contacts is why I gave them 4 stars. I waited b/c every time in the past they come in and make sure the contacts are comfortable and give me a case to put them in if I need to take them out (maybe it’s only for if I’m wearing old contacts but Dr. Vanderloop told me Brianna would be coming in to help me). She finally came in and said I could come out now and come to the counter without looking at my eyes or sitting down and talking with me. I was taken aback and said the Dr. told me to wait for her and she said she didn’t know why. My husband and I felt she wasn’t as personable as Lincoln or a couple other ladies we have worked with in the past. Nothing major, just a little disappointing after years of excellent service and attention."

"Great appointment, Dr. Hansetter is the best. Been going to him 10 years. Had a new and especially good glasses person, Lincoln, who got me helped with new frames and finished in the fasted time in 10 years."

"I’m allowing 2 stars as the doctor and prescreen tech were great however I was very disappointed to hear my insurance was not in network after the exam completed as I had specifically asked that prior to scheduling and driving 45 minutes each direction for this exam. While I respectfully expressed my frustration and explained I felt lied to, an associate standing next to the assistant manager who was explaining pricing to me not once, not twice but 3 times rudely interjected and said “Lied is a strong word” as if to mock my expression of frustration. I had been thinking about how happy I was up until the insurance issue, as well as the fact that the exam was done and the time was already spent which is worth something in and of itself but the rude associate making remarks towards a conversation he wasn’t involved in to begin with and the assistant manager not even reprimanding him for the remarks or interjections was the deal breaker. He lost the customer today."

"My new glasses improved my vision but I had concerns that the vision from my right eye could be improved. I arrived for my appointment and the eye doctor and support team spent a great deal of time checking my eyes and determined that a different lens design could improve my vision. These new lenses are being made for me now. This was such a positive experience I wholeheartedly recommend LensCrafters at Bay Park Square"
