"Avoid. Editing 2 years later: when I left this review I was so upset I couldn't fully articulate my feelings about the experience I had. I'd never felt so belittled and dismissed in my life. I'd had a month of extremely painful inner ear infection and was referred here by my primary care physician, who also had me on strong antibiotics. By the time I was able to get in for this appointment, most of my symptoms were receding, but I was worried about potential hearing damage and wanted to have the issue checked out by a specialist to make sure there wasn't anything my PCP missed that I should keep tabs on. Dobberpuhl walked in, sat down, and looked at me without saying anything. Did not ask any questions or ask for any elaboration. Did not take notes. Told me that it was because I use earbuds occasionally and to stop using them, prescribed some different antibiotics, then sent me on my way. The whole time it felt like he didn't want to be there and that I was wasting his time, as though he was too good to be dealing with something as 'simple' as an ear infection. Because of the experience I had I avoided seeing another ENT for almost a year even though I had recurring serious ear infections every other month - I just didn't want to be treated like that again. I finally broke down and went to a different ENT eventually and was able to get relief for what turned out to be a fungal infection. I don't know whether it's something he missed because he was so dismissive or if it just developed after all the bacteria got wiped out, but either way, if he had treated me like my concerns mattered at all I would have gone back when my symptoms reappeared. Instead I suffered because I didn't feel like my pain was valid or legitimate enough to 'deserve' treatment. I'm so sorry to see that so many other people have experienced this sort of situation in the meantime. Their experiences sound extremely familiar and no one dealing with health issues should be treated that way. My initial review still sums it all up. Avoid."

"I was referred to Dr Dobberpuhl for Inspire implant surgery after being unable to tolerate CPAP. I felt very confident and at ease with him while discussing the procedure. He initially performed an Endoscopy procedure and later the implant surgery itself. Everything went smoothly and since the device activation, my sleep is dramatically improving. In all honesty he has been a lifesaver and I am very happy that I was referred to him."

"I'm still upset, confused, and honestly completely baffled at the appointment I had with this Doctor. I went in for an ongoing sinus infection and Dr. Dobberpuhl completely dismissed my concerns. I left my appointment in tears. He essentially told me he didn't see anything wrong with me although I had a sinus infection and was in pain/discomfort for WEEKS! He very socially awkward and didn't seem to know how to interact with me despite me asking him questions and probing for some type of solution. I left the appointment feeling extremely discouraged and uncomfortable. There was no level of compassion, warmth, or desire to help me. I am never the type of person to leave reviews anywhere but please save yourself the hassle and see a different provider."

"Mitchell Dobberpuhl I will not call him Doctor because quite honestly I question his credentials. Dobberpuhl lacks all knowledge and basic human interaction skills to be called a doctor. He walked in sat down and stared at his computer and asked what was going on. I explained and he couldn’t have looked more disinterested. He didn’t offer any solution or advice except to drink water. I had to talk and ask questions and with each one his response was a shrug of his shoulders as in saying he has no idea. He concluded his part by saying, I quote “I’m not calling you a lier but…” and then shrugged his shoulders. My response was there has got to be something causing my abrupt hearing loss and then he laundry listed every test an ent can do and said which one do you want. Are you kidding me?!?! I didn’t drive an hour and take off of work and pay to have to see a doctor to be treated so poorly. He continued to stare at me so I stood up and told him that he better not bill me for this since I will now have to find a different doctor to help me. His response was he will be billing me and if I wanted to discuss it further I can book another appointment with him. He is incredibly arrogant. This lack of professionalism and care was absolutely unacceptable. I ultimately had to book an appointment with a different doctor to address my concerns properly. In my opinion, Mitchell Dobberpuhl is a liability to Aurora. I strongly recommend canceling appointments with him or, if you've already seen him, disputing the charges with your insurance and filing a complaint with Aurora. After reading other reviews, it's clear that many others have had similar disappointing experiences with him."

"One of the worst experiences I have had with a doctor. Accused my teenage son of faking his hearing test results and asked if we had a lawsuit open for his hearing loss because he said it wasn't adding up for him and he couldn't figure it out. This was at the very first appointment. My son was very offended; as was I. Absolutely no bedside manners. I only went here because it was the only doctor accepting patients in a month versus having to wait 3 months for the others and now I know why. Definitely worth the wait to go to someone else."
