"Nice quiet beach with plenty of street parking available. The wildflowers were in bloom and they were so pretty. The beach wasn't very busy - so, it made for a nice relaxing visit. Bathrooms and foot and body showers are within a short walking distance to get sand off. I spent about an hour here before my flight at LAX. Nice way to end my vacation."
"I ride through Dockweiler on the bike path and think it is one of the most enjoyable stretches of coastline in Southern California. It is close to the city and at times is pretty crowded but because all the houses north of Imperial Highway were demolished it still has something of a wild feel. Weekends are busy but there once you get away from the parking lots you can find lots of space near the water if you’re willing to walk."
"It was a beautiful day attending Dockweiler. Parking at Dockweiler State Beach costs between $7 (weekday, low season) and $9 (weekend, low season) and $9 (weekday, high season) $13 (weekend, high season) and there are no in/outs. If you leave the lot, you must pay again to enter. There is limited street parking on Vista del Mar, but take note of the parking signage. Overall it's a nice place to hang with family, friends, and even do bodyweight workouts."
"If you live in California and want to go to a beach that is not crowded with people this is the place. It was really peaceful observing the waves crash on the beach. It is almost like your own private get away. It only cost $3 to park for the day. Great mini get away."
"I'm new here, but this is my favorite beach in LA so far! The park/Beach is huge, with plenty of parking as well as a dedicated RV park. Plenty of fire pits to hang out at. The waves are beautiful and the planes fly right overhead. It's just about in the middle of the bike path so I like to come for the all day parking and take off in either direction."
