Reviews
"We used to hunt wild boar here in 80's and wasn,t any camp grounds back then. It was a very good place to hunt. I don't know how the hunting is now."
"Awesome place, beautiful and with Snow is amazing, 1 hour drive from San Diego and you get the Snow and Mountains Ecosystem"
"Great B.land with two free campgrounds, one with 4 spots the other with 6. Busiest in Spring and Fall when weather is mild and not to hot. Campgrounds full during a Tuesday night so arrive early. Trails and surrounding landscape and scenery are beautiful and peaceful due to how isolated this region is. Worth the detour from the main highways."
"Camped here several times. Best time to go is in early spring or late fall when temperatures are milder. Remote but has fire pit, covered picnic table and vault toilet and it's free. Only about half dozen camping sites available. Good hiking trails to waterfall and to Mount Laguna. Road to the area paved but in rough shape"
"The campsites are overall pretty good. Clean, new shade structures and picnic tables. Very quiet and remote. You need to bring water, and maybe a yellowjacket trap. The trail maps aren't too accurate, expect an arduous hike to get up to the falls, about five miles from the Sweetwater campsite, and maybe two to the laguna mountain campground. The "short scramble" to the falls involves a pretty treacherous climb using some sketchy ropes folks left. I'm looking forward to our next visit!"
