"This is the worst water district I have ever lived in , they charge 2 late fees for some reason even if the bill is barely late , when I’m not home for the whole month my bill is still $300 they said it’s what the city agreed to when they got a new water system .. idk how long ago that was but it seems like a bunch of scammers to me , I’m currently looking to move my main reason is this horrible water company that thinks they can charge even when the water is not being used !!! They are a SCAM!!!! And they NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE!!!"

"Is zero stars possible? I'm sorry for you if you're unfortunate enough to have this as your water company. I would run, not walk as fast as I could from this place. Seriously the single worst thing about living in Scotia. My bill averages close to $275 a month, and somehow stays the same even if I'm traveling with nobody home for six weeks. Did they offer any help during the scamdemic? Not at all. Don't be late, or they'll tax you some more. Straight up price gouging and preying on families downfalls. You're probably better off walking on down to the Eel to shower, and maybe using Renners toilet. I prey for the day that somebody gets a lawyer and exposes you for fraud."

"The water bill is higher here than anywhere else I am aware of. The average California water bill is less than $100 a month, we payed almost $200 for a month where we weren’t even in town. This seems like price gouging to me…. Very disappointed in the Scotia Community Services District and they need to be held accountable for the outrageous water bills"

"My brother sadly passed away April of 2021 at the time his bill was 193.00. My mother was named administer of his estate and as a senior citizen on SS she had to wait for letters of authority to pay bills. So over the course of a year the bill of 193.00 has somehow became almost 6,000 dollars. This is with no change in the meter or no water usage, just late fees. Which of course they are fighting on waiving for a woman who lost her son and makes 20,000 a year. This Company is a disgrace with no moral compass out to gouge people simply because they can. Shame on this Business"

"This company does not work with its community at all. They have employees that speak horribly to customers. They do not waive the extremely high late fees nor did they offer customers payments during the pandemic that would work. They give you one plan and if you don’t agree and sign papers they will shut your water off. There are others in the community that feel the same and have no where ti go for help. I hope that we can all come together to find a positive answer for the community. Sadly people will start moving away and scotia ca will become a ghost town. It has so much potential to be a wonderful community."
