"Cool place the police will walk into the dog park to make for sure you have a leash cuz they have a sign out front that says all dogs must be on a leash when exiting Park and they will actually come in there and count leashes and count dogs and hand out tickets and there's actually a hobo over there who cleans up trash in the parking lot"
"Double gate, poop bags, trash and recycling inside park, picnic benches. No dog water but a human water fountain nearby. Very little shade. Medium-large park. Fence is very flimsy/low only around 3 or 4 feet but nice big solid fence at entry/keeping dogs away from cars. Not sure if it always is, but it was stinky when I went. Much more wild than most parks with a variety of plants and small trees. Directly next to muddy bay area. Parking is about 30 ft away (flat walk) past a playground and there are public toilets by the parking. The vibe was weirdly desolate when I went (cops interviewing someone in the parking lot) but it was pretty. Somewhere between 3-4 stars compared to other parks but still a nice spot."
"I love coming to this park for my pup and myself. It’s a fenced in dog park open from dawn to dusk. I particularly love that it has ample space for my dog to run around and socialize with other dogs, whilst I get to walk the inside perimeter to get my steps in:) Coming to the park through the seasons is a great way to see the gorgeous local summer flowers and then the changing autumn colour as the weather gets colder. Not to mention the stunning sunsets!"
"This dog park is hit or miss when it comes to actually dogs being there to play with your dog. But it’s fenced in, has a small walking trail and right next to the bay. I felt inclined to write a review in response to some reviewers comments about larger dogs needing to be on leash? It’s a DOG park. The one place you’re able to let your dog off leash! If your dog is aggressive, please don’t bring him to a dog park. But if you are going to a dog park, please expect it to be a DOG park! ❤️"
"Honestly, one of the most unique dog parks I've been to. This completely fenced-off area is like a sample exhibition of the surrounding outdoors: a looping trail (with optional detours), native plants/trees/shrubbery, donated water jugs for filling bowls, alongside donated chairs to watch the sunset on the bay. This is not a flat & grassy dog park with clear lines of sight at all times; this is a slice of a dunes-area park, but fully-enclosed (& without beach-access) for pups to roam. It's gorgeous, but if your dog wants to just wrestle & play with other dogs, this is not the best choice. If your dog likes to sniff & explore a trailhead & its surrounds, this is an excellent place to meet other off-leash dogs, but to also simply get lost in exploration."
