"Brought in small child for preventative child wellness visit. The receptionist explained that the visit is only for preventative care and there would be charges for any other services. Fine, that makes sense - don’t schedule a “wellness visit” if your doctor has a fever and is obviously sick…. We explained that the child is healthy but has been struggling with constipation for several months (but is okay) and specifically asked if we could ask for advice for that during the wellness visit. They confirmed that discussion would be covered under a well child visit. Fast forward a few weeks and I received an extra bill for $130 because we told the doctor the child has constipation! She told us things we could have found on webMD, no treatment provided whatsoever. Should we have not told the doctor?! How ridiculous. This health system has gone down hill. We miss doctor Kristen Lockhart, she is the best doctor in town but moved to another practice and is unfortunately not in our network now."
