"I have had the best experiences free diving here along the coast of LA so far. Vibrant marine life, dense kelp forests, and a 50' depth that persists for about 300' from the beach, which is perfect diving conditions. It gets chilly and has lots of current, so experienced swimmers with solid skin gear are recommended. Visibility ranges from 10'-30'. Street parking, dirt hike down, and some quick sorry 10' slides down rocky terrain to get to some of the north end beaches away from the surfers."
