"The Campground is very nice..green grass and plenty of places to walk, beautiful open areas and a short drive to the beach...sadly the facilities are very very dirty."
"We stayed here on a Sunday and Monday passing through on a road trip. It is a clean relaxing base that doesn’t have much but is great to get out into nature and enjoy one another’s company. We are a family of four and they have a lounge with a pool table, books, and free games checkers chess monopoly all kinds. The restroom and showers are clean and the base has private beach access. We found a lot of sand dollars and had a blast walking the entire beach. The bowling alley and theater for movies was closed the day we were there the base was a ghost town and only like Gas and commissary was open. We loved the nature and being outdoors we would return it was clean and the Bach was a nice addition. We found a base housing playground for the kids to play on and a pool which was awesome."
"Really nice, long, level sites. People are friendly. It was a Thursday night, so we just drove in and got a spot without a reservation. They also have overflow spots. We wanted to extend our stay through the weekend, but no one was in the office on the weekend. It's a 1/2 hr drive to Solvang and the mission if you want something fun to do. They have a really nice bowling alley on base and a cafe with a delicious chicken sandwich. We plan on going back for another night on the way back home. Watch out for your dog, though. There was a coyote lurking around the campground."
"Passing through the area. Super friendly and helpful staffs. Stay at an overflow lot to save money. Nice size overflow lot that can fit up to 15 big rigs, easily!! Aminities, restrooms, shower, laundry and lounge room with big screen tv/ books, pool table within walking, distance if needed. $10 dry camp, $28 FHU."
