"Not sure why the other ratings are so low, I had an amazing experience. Jeremy is very knowledgeable and he fixed my rear view mirror/camera for me! I had been dealing with an issue for a year and decided to call geek squad. He fixed the issue super fast and now it’s practically brand new again. He was very professional and friendly. I’d definitely would recommend this place & would come back for any geek squad needs."
"Silly. I appreciate the quick help. The install tech didn't have to come and talk to me after all. But as for the quality of help and the arrogance... I had a moderately simple question about wiring and troubleshooting. Not only did the guy tell me I didn't know what I was talking about, he didn't even know what he was talking about himself. After listening to him borderline rudly rant at me about how what I was talking about didn't exist, it really opened my eyes to how inexperienced these guys are. I wouldn't trust them to install anything more than a battery to my car. If you have any auto installs you want done and you CANT do it yourself I would recommend running FAR away from here. Find a reputable auto electrician. These guys are just kids little experience"
"I rarely, if ever, write poor reviews, but... here's my first. Purchased a Mac Book at the Best Buy, and then requested help with the Geek Squad folks to transfer files from old Mac to the new Mac. I did indeed also pay for the service when I bought the Mac - I was told I and one other person in my family could then come in with any tech questions as they arose. When I requested help, the guy [maybe the head Geek? Slender dark-haired fellow] who 'helped' was dismissive and rude - to the point that I noticed another Geek Squad member cringe at his behavior toward me. I just left rather than complain; maybe he was having a bad day? But given the other reviews, he's having a lot of bad days. Reflects poorly on both the Geek Squad and Best Buy, which is too bad, as I've also had good interactions with other staff in the store."
"July 28th Scheduled for washer repair Tom Resetar from Geek Squad Auburn Store, came to my home for 10 minutes, turned the washer on, didnt even look under or in it, says he need to order a parts. Thinking the spinner is out with very little thorough inspection. August 11th Scheduled Appointment but no part has arrived. So another postponed repair. 1 part came later evening. August 12th Tom came this time he looked under the washer and says he needs to order more parts. So another longer wait to fix the washer. As of now theres no telling when it will be fixed, all i can do is watch paint dry, grass grow and pray to Jesus. Dont know what else to do. Tom Resetar did a very poor job at looking to see what is wrong with washer, he came in and out. He should of inspected it more to see the exact problem but purposely prolonged this to get his hourly wage higher pay. But makes me the customer very angry and regretful of buying this from Best Buy. 8/12/20 Will update review when or even if it ever repaired."
"Staff is very knowledgeable in what they are doing, however prices are ridiculously high for software and repairs offered. Downloadable windows software is available for $100 plus tax, which is only a file transfer from a flash drive. Better off to buy the windows drive for $120. As for the repairs I had gone in for some advice on my SATA connections within my computer and I was going to be charged $150 dollars just for them to look at my computer, not even test it. Staff is good, nothing to complain about towards them, however the prices and system is a deal breaker."
