"I've spent the last two weeks as a guest at Spanish Bay Club, Tennis, and Fitness Center, and I take my sweaty tennis visor off to the remarkable staff--especially the club manager, Gloria Ford, the tennis pro, Matt Murillo, and all of the warm, welcoming representatives at the club's front desk, group fitness center, locker room, and beyond (I wish I remembered everyone's names: Ellen, Jeff, Tony, and so many more!)--as well as the wonderful members--many of whom have been my dear family friends over a lifetime. I don't even belong to your club, and yet, you made me feel like I did. (In fact, I think I know more people at Spanish Bay than I do where I play tennis and work out in my new hometown of four years in North Carolina.) I know it's said that you get what you pay for, but I confess that I paid for just one clinic and a couple of souvenirs, and I'm walking away profoundly touched by the very essentials of human-to-human courtesy, caring, and kindness that are so evident here. It's more than excellent customer service; it's a way of leading one's life, and I intend to continue paying the blessings of growing up here forward for all of my days."
