"This is a terrible beach, don't come here. I recommend Main beach or New Brighton."
"First of all, let me start by saying that the beach itself was not all that bad. The sand was fine, the water was relatively clean, and the views were nice. However, it was the logistics of actually getting to the beach that proved to be a major hassle. There was no designated parking lot, which meant that finding a spot to park was a nightmare. This made me feel like I was wasting precious beach time driving around in circles looking for a spot. Once I finally did find a spot, I was greeted by a swarm of flies that made it nearly impossible to enjoy my time on the beach. The flies were everywhere, landing on my skin and buzzing around my head. It was incredibly frustrating and made it difficult to relax and enjoy the scenery. If you're looking for a peaceful and enjoyable day at the beach, I would recommend looking elsewhere."
"During the weekdays you can find parking at the top of the stairs or within a block or two. The stairs are at the end of 20th and you can also find parking on Cliff. There is a starbucks a few blocks away at Cliff and 17th if you need a bathroom or coffee. There are usually dogs in the morning. There aren't a lot of flat sandy places for the weekend, but on a weekday you'll be fine. It can be a youth hangout later in the evening."
"In all of Santa Cruz area, this is my favorite beach. It is a niche thing though. It is generally more intimate and there usually aren't many people here. There are beach house rentals up and down the street. The waves here are pretty nice. When it gets dark, you will see a lot of people lighting bon fires and enjoying each other's company. If you are a more intimate, small group, type of beach goer, then this is the beach for you. If you prefer a place with more attractions or people, try the board walk."
"Great waves, beautiful sunrise and sunset. Plenty of social distance during 2020 COVID19 time."
