"If I could give zero stars I would! I had a home warranty claim from the purchase of a newer home. The microwave was 6 months old and went bad. Tom came out and reported back to the warranty company that I misused the microwave, therefore the warranty company wouldn't cover a replacement. This dude is a scam and only wants the service fee. I saw all of the bad reviews and if I was paying for it out my own pocket, which ultimately I will have to thanks to Tom, I would have looked elsewhere. Do yourself and everyone a favor, don't use these people and if your warranty company tries to use them, demand another company. You'll be glad you did! Edit to your response: My warranty company has decided to cover my microwave after they further reviewed claim. They said your and/or your company told them I was not using the microwave as intended and had placed it into a cabinet, thus not allowing for ventilation and the failure of the circuit board. You told them the microwave generated too much heat, which is odd because they don't generate heat, at least my model lacking any features sure as air fry, etc. They formed an opinion, certainly because of what you and/or your company said, was it was not a model that used a trim kit or designed by Whirlpool to be placed into a cabinet. When they saw my model did use a trim kit for cabinet applications, they reversed their decision based on your "report". Although my warranty company doesn't generally cover countertop microwaves, once they realized it was in the cabinet with a trim kit, as designed, they decided to cover it. My microwave is a "countertop" model and arguably portable, hence the reason they are not generally covered, but once they realized my model and application was not meant to be portable, they chose to disagree with your assessment. They also refunded my service fee due to the inconvenience and confusion that you caused. Hopefully, they don't pay you. Most important, I don't recall you took any photographs, so how could you provide my warranty company with photographs? Weird. I forwarded my photographs to the warranty company field representative just to show how much space existed above, below and on each side of the microwave while sitting inside the cabinet without the trim ring. Nevertheless, you told them my unit was placed in such a way, there was no ventilation. My photographs contradicted your "report". There was also confusion to others based on your "report", which stated the circuit board overheated due to improper ventilation. My unit was inside a cabinet with arguably more ventilation than a "built-in" microwave and was not over a range, which is a constant heat source with that type of installation. You provided an opinion as to why it failed, which you can't possibly do. You have no idea why the circuit board failed in a six month old unit, but it certainly wasn't because of where it was used. Sometimes, things just go bad and as an appliance repair guy, you should know that. Or is it always someone's fault? All anyone has to do is read through your reviews and I think it should give them an idea of your service. If all that I accomplished by my review was to cause you to loose at least one customer, than I have succeeded. But given your horrible reviews, your business doesn't seem it would be thriving anyway. You probably survive on service calls through warranty companies and you rarely, if ever, get calls outside of that. Hopefully my warranty company never uses you again. The area representative was concerned with my complaint given your odd "report". I should have looked at your reviews before I allowed you into my home. Oh, well. Hopefully someone learns from my mistake. Bottom line, your company sucks and you should do better! If you did, you might get better reviews? Just saying... Buddy, you're the one with a 1.3 average star rating, not me, and your Yelp rating isn't much better! I think you should rename your business F Minus Appliance and strive to improve...to at a least a C+?"
"Our home warranty company assigned our repair to this company and I was dreading having them come out after the reading the reviews here. They actually ended up being excellent. They set up an appointment for 2 to 3pm and Tom showed up at 2:10. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had the part for our dishwasher in his truck. By 3:30, he had it repaired and cleaning dishes - and most importantly, not leaking."
"This is not the company to call. No reliability, No communication,. No customer service. This company was sent to me through Fidelity National Home Warranty. All these companies seem to be working together to avoid paying off claims or doing repairs. A+Plus is the second company that's been sent out by Fidelity. They came out on July 3rd and checked out my refrigerator. They told me they had to order a part to get it fixed. It's now August 16th and we still have a defective refrigerator. Since initially submitting this claim it's been over 5 months. I've called A-Plus a couple of times and they keep telling me they're waiting for a part. Not once have called me with an update. The first company that came out told me what needed to be fixed and then actually lied on the report to say that the repair has been complete. I told Fidelity I didn't want them on my property again. All of this is absolutely unacceptable. I advise staying away from all these home warranty companies. This is the second time I've had the same problem with them. I also advised staying away from their affiliates like A-Plus Appliance. They all work together and all they do is take your money. If you have any significant repair that needs to take place, forget about it. It's never going to get done. I give A Plus appliance the worst grade possible. I would never do business with them again. It's now been 75 days since they diagnose my problem. The only contact that has been made is me calling them. Do yourself a favor and when you see this name on your search engine, just skip to the next company. Save yourself a lot of grief. When you deal with these companies your only option will be to take them to court and that is very time consuming and usually a waste of effort."
"Please steer away from this company. They are unresponsive and unethical. After the first visit, they were to file with the home warranty company to have other parts of our over door replaced. I called and called to find out status, then after two months finally was able to speak to their manager.....who then lied to me. The Manager mentioned she had filed the approval with my home warranty company, which was not the case. Approval was never filed. To this day they still have not responded with their plans on fixing the oven door. Please stay away. A waste of your time. Mine is being wasted having to deal with their ineptness and lies."
"Worst experience with an appliance repair center!! They quickly came out to diagnose a fridge issue to collect their trip fee but never followed through. I called back for over two months asking for repair parts status and was told repeatedly that I would be called back the next day with an update on my ordered parts. They never called me back once! Sharon the manager kept claiming that the parts were made overseas and that no matter what repair center I ordered through I would be facing the same wait. Finally after a few months I decided to cancel the repair request and had my home insurance provide me with a second vendor. Vital appliances came out the next day, figured the issue out, and had everything repaired and in working order within 3 days!!! I had wasted months with this horrible company waiting when I could have had everything resolved in a few days! Stay away from this company! You can request your home warranties don't include them in your preferred vendor list if you need any appliance repairs."
