Reviews of Bass Lake, Point Reyes Seashore
"Hike was okay. Lake itself was over ratted and upsetting. Limited space to get into the water."
"Beautiful lake, a little tricky to get down to the water"
"I can’t really imagine rating a natural body of water less than 5 stars, but okay… This is a beautiful lake to hike to. If you know what’s up, you can hike into spots where it’s easier to access the water, but there might be a bit of stinging nettle along the way, to remind you of where you are. Also, there used to be a rope swing hanging from a tree for YEARS, but I suspect the constant foot traffic eroded the hillside, because that tree has since toppled into the lake. So, it goes. Isn’t the natural world a beautiful thing?"
"Nice trail hike from the parking lot to here. Pretty much flat trail head. If you go further down there is off beaten path that takes you to a pretty neat waterfall. Definitely recommend."
"A beautiful lake, although it can be difficult to access the shore. We had to hike through some pretty overgrown areas to get to a spot we could sit, as the banks are quite steep."
