"Very very very pricey but worth it. It was a great experience. I love love love pearls and don't mind spending money on good ones. However the experience was special and unique here. You get to pick your own oyster and they make a jewelry out of the pearl you get. Mine was specially big with a green hue color to it. I loved it. Of course I bought a necklace and earring set to go with my ring. I also bought blue pearl earrings for my sister. It was a baby boy shower gift for her. Although pricey, it was worth it. I love that everything was real and natural."
"We so enjoyed our experience here and I LOVE the pearl ring we left with! If you’re going to open an oyster, be prepared with a budget in mind for the setting since the price range varies to very expensive depending on what you choose. We didn’t chat about a budget beforehand and it was much more than I thought it would be (my boyfriend sweetly bought this for more than $200 all in). I adore the ring and the experience was very special and memorable, but I’m worried that the setting is less secure than a ring you would purchase from a jeweler since it’s just set with glue. I’m very careful with it, but still wear it daily and expect that one day it will fall off. The ring we chose is silver with gold leaves, which symbolizes love and respect in Hawaiian culture. It came with a small flyer explaining the meaning! The woman who worked with us was wonderful and I definitely recommend this experience to others. Just keep the choices within a reasonable budget for what it is. I think this would be so special for families with little girls!"
"This was my first time even knowing about this. At first I was a bit nervous about the quality. Especially since it was a gift for my mother in law. Nonetheless the lady assisting us was great! Wish I could recall her unique name. She explained everything about the pearls and how they are each unique. My mother in law got her oyster and cracked it open to find a beautiful pearl! Looked at various options to mount it and she decided on a nice looking chain. Definitely worth it and came out cheaper than expected!"
"As seen by photos, no hours of operations are posted outside of the booths, apparently these are independent franchise operations, where the vendors show up when ever the rest of the retailers open. Remember this is California, not Hawaii. There two booths on either ends of the pier, most likely operated by a single vendor. Either business is good, or it is a front operation for some "other" interests in the city. Fortunately there are plenty of other businesses here to cater to shoppers curiosities."
