"I hired this company for a deep clean. I was here for most of the cleaning but also went over in detail the windows I did not want them to miss in particular. They left the two most important spots. My daughters door and window. Also, the door in my bedroom has cobwebs on it. I watched them clean a couple cabinet doors but others look untouched in the kitchen. She also said they would be here for 2.5 hours and they were only here for 2. I will not hire this team again. For sure not the deep cleaning that I was expecting. They were timely and communicated. They also were pleasant. So I gave them a two star. The surfaces look nice. I am sure they would be great for standard cleaning."

"I love the concept of Happy Host. Linen service and text notifications upon arrival/departure are much needed services in the industry....... and the only reason I stuck with them for our 2 rentals over the summer. Their linens are most definitely not "hotel quality" as advertised and don't even include fitted sheets. On more than one occasion, the linens were so bad that I had to swap them out with extra ones I had at home. They even once made the bed without a mattress pad (and didn't inform me that it was missing). Cleanings were rushed and there was absolutely no attention to detail. More than once I found layers of sand on counters and end tables, food smears on tables and debris on the tile. Some cleaners were better than others, but my requested cleaners were rarely assigned to my units (a 1 bedroom and a studio). I often spent an hour (or more) cleaning after Happy Host had left. The week that I was out of town and could not do this, I received a complaint and had to refund their cleaning fee. I've recently switched cleaning companies and I'm wondering why I waited so long. I now walk into my units and can't find a single thing that needs to be done..... windowsills are cleaned, walls and cabinets are wiped down, and all surfaces are spotless. And I'm paying less. I'm happily back to doing laundry. I also want to note that 2 recent good reviews for Happy Host are written by their cleaners (I know their names because they were occasionally assigned to my units). Not cool."
"This company has some good systems in place that made them an appealing solution for cleaning our Airbnb rental. We liked the option of renting linens and getting notifications and reports regarding the cleanings, but there was a severe disconnect between what the cleaners actually did and the expectations that were set for us. They did a great job on some things, but stayed a much shorter time then we were told was necessary for our large house and seemed to rush through things, missing a lot in the process. We paid for add-on's like patio and grill cleaning and most of the time those items were not done by the cleaners as well as the few specifics I asked them to check each time. They were also inconsistent in the amount of linens, toiletries, soap, etc that were left. One of our renters complained that there were no kitchen dish towels or paper towels left by the cleaners, and then we ended up having to pay a replacement cost to Happy Host for that missing dish towel because it was not returned (which is hard to do when one is not left in the first place). This was just a small example of the headaches that added up over time. We ended up asking a neighbor to start coming over after the Happy Host left and finish up what was missed, which defeated the purpose of paying such a premium for a cleaning service. Again, I like the idea of this company, but the execution was not great for us. I do appreciate the friendly office staff and the owner was helpful when we spoke to him. Glendale especially went above and beyond to help us with a couple of stressful situations. I imagine that this might be a better option for smaller rental properties and that perhaps our 5 bedroom home was more than they were equipped to handle in the allotted time."
