"Such a sweet guy, and you can tell he really loves his craft. If you live near the Bay Area, take the 2 hour drive over to this gentleman's shop (call ahead as he is semi-retired, and might want to make an appointment). We had him melt down a couple of gold rings and had him make a new piece as an engagement ring. He will make a wax model of your piece before he casts it. After approval, Dan got it done after a week and the cost was almost 1/5 of what the shops around the SF Bay Area charge."
