"My husband, who is black, knocked on the door to be let in . Instead of buzzing him in , the proprietor came to the door, asked him what he wanted, took his necklace for repair and made him wait outside instead of letting him in the store. We have been living here for nearly 30 years, a retired teacher and an IBM er. This has never been a policy, as I have been there several times in the past, but I’m not black."
