The Arcata Plaza

"Quaint square with a small-town feel. Many local shops around the square and around the surrounding streets. I went to school up here 15 years ago and it hasn't really changed much."

"The plaza includes a nice lawn where you can relax and some shops and restaurants you can walk to. Parking is OK, but if there is an event, you may need to park a couple blocks away. If you are looking for a calm, relaxing day where you can tour some unique shops, etc. this is a nice place to visit."

"A great place to stroll around. Plenty of local shops selling art, garden decor, and books. There are also a few bars and restaurants. Check out Cafe Brio, which has some of California's best coffee and pastries north of San Francisco (and competitive with the city, as well!) Also wonderful to visit the Farmer's Market, where there is often live music, dancing, and people just hanging out on the lawn. A great central area for Arcata. Well worth a visit!"
