"Amazing service with amazing people they have great attitude towards their job. Also you can buy individual grooming needs like nail grinding, paw trimming and trimming the but hairs for real cheap. Typically you can go to petco and not get the same great experience for about triple the price for just the paw grooming."

"The people are nice and they did a great job with our puppies. They even got the mats out of my puppy's ears and no other groomer has done that, he's just had them there for a year now. The price is great, quite a bit less expensive than PetSmart. It's nice that it's an easy walk from our apartment too."

"I have a long haired Havanese and whenever I'm in Long Beach I bring her by Messy Mutt for grooming. The owners are fabulous and the level of service is beyond excellent. My dog looks, smells, and feels better after being groomed by them than any other groomers I've used over the last 6 years (in CA, VA, & WA)! I've also taken my Dad's cat to Messy Mutt and he looks amazing, better than he's ever been. Steve is really good with cats, even ones that have never been groomed before! I like their vibe, prices, and the shop is very clean & open, and if you want to stay and watch your pet being groomed they're cool with that. If only I lived closer! Note that before finding this shop my dog was groomed at 2 other LB establishments, both of which cut her paw when trimming her nails; yikes, so bloody. I've NOT had that problem at Messy Mutt; instead, my dog comes back relaxed, calm, and super soft!"

"I took my dog here couple days ago and I can say that I will never return. First of all, they didn't even check paper work for vaccines and shots. I would not trust this establishment with their poor business practice. Second, they gave my Pomeranian the ugliest and most uneven haircut ever. Third, they made my dog's skin itchy and irritated. I had to rewash them again a couple days after where not to my surprise, there were still a bit of soap residue. Pup felt better after I washed him. Lastly, I had to go out of my way to take them to another groomer to get his haircut fixed, which was a huge waste of time and money. I am very disappointed in this place and I don't understand why they have such high reviews, this place has bad business practice, is dirty, and gives you false promises. Basically, they suck pretty bad. Owner's may seem nice, but once you get on their bad side, they will be condescending, rude, and not listen to customer's concerns. Especially the woman, she does not know what customer service is. Even if you read all the bad Yelp reviews, you can see that people complain about their bad service and how rude they are. A majority of the good reviews are all written by people who have minimal reviews or new accounts, which are probably fake accounts that they created and/or friends and family accounts, which I don't mind as long as what they are saying is true, but sadly it is not. I will be giving this place 1 star. It started with a decent experience to a negative one. Maybe if they learn about what customer service is and how to make things right without being annoyed by what customers have to say and by hanging up on them, then maybe they would have 2 stars. I will never take my pup here again and would not recommend coming to Messy Mutts. STAY AWAY!!"

"Best dog grooming in Long Beach. I took my dog in for a little style and I got everything I wanted and then some. The girl was very knowledgeable about care and her husband was vary insightful with care tips. The shop has a refreshing energy and I'll come back again. If you've been burnt by other dog groomers in the area, try these guys!"
