"Had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Waked on 1/19/24. They were able to squeeze me in. The office staff there are all so caring Karen help me at the window and she is amazing again this office cares about their patients. Dr. Waked is a really down to earth straight forward Doctor who knows his Cardiology. He really provided me with the information I needed and answer all my question he made me feel very comfortable all things considered he is a very generous Doctor. I Highly Recommend them!"
"If you’re looking for a cardiologist, I would suggest continue looking. I was seen in the ER and was referred to Riverside cardiology associates medical group, these people gave me the runaround to where I no longer want to be seen by them. I will look elsewhere. If you have heart problems this is not the place to go ironically.. because my stress level was at a high dealing with them."
"I'm a student in my twenties whose cardiac condition has been monitored by Dr. AbouRjaili for the past few years. He's a good cardiologist but I've been unable to see him, nor my electrophysiology (EP) technician, for the past 6 months because of disorganization, administrative errors, and unreliability. Here are a few examples. (1) Unreliability. Appointment with Dr. A on 2/28/23. He gives me medical advice and told the medical assistants (MAs) to send some paperwork to my insurance. An MA then offers me her opinion on the medical advice (a few times) which implied that I don't have to do what my doctor just recommended. The MA also says they can't figure out how to contact my insurance so over the next week I had walk them through it. I didn't want to wait around for them to do it so I told them to email me the paperwork. They promised to email it by 3/10/23 but I didn't get anything. I called and left message around 3/15 with no response. And again on 3/21 and 4/11. I finally got the paperwork by coming in-person on 5/2. (2) Administrative errors and disorganization. On 3/10/23 I was scheduled for an EP appointment but they told me at 1:29pm that my 1:30pm appointment was cancelled because the technician doesn't come on Fridays. They accidentally scheduled me on the wrong day. On 5/2/23 I come in to the clinic for my EP study but this time, the technician didn't come. They could've told me before I drove all the way to the clinic. On 7/14/23 I had scheduled an cardiology appointment with Dr. A and an EP study back-to-back. I arrive at the clinic and they tell me my cardiology appointment is cancelled because he's on vacation for 2 weeks. Why wouldn't they tell me that until then? Then, for my EP study, they tell me again "the EP tech doesn't come in on Friday's we don't know why we scheduled you for today". I decided to just go to another clinic for my EP study but the next available time to meet with Dr. A was 10/6/23 (today). I came in today and they said that it had been so long that, last week, my referral expired and so they can't see me today. I feel like they could've checked this before I arrived for my appointment but I do recognize that I should've remembered that my referrals must be renewed at the beginning of every school year. Since March, I've had to take time off of work/research for 4 days without seeing my doctor a single time."
"I came into the hospital last February. I had experienced the widow maker heart attack and was suffering. Doctor Waked performed an emergency procedure and found blockage of almost 100% in 5 major arteries. Doctor Waked said he was able to install one stent and get the blood flowing again but I needed much more work. I really did not want open-heart surgery. After much thought and prayer, Dr. Waked agreed to try and open the remaining arteries. I went through a second to Long procedure. The doctor. Three more steps. He said that the procedure came out beautifully. I am doing great now. Oh everything to the doctor Waked and the team at Riverside General. Dr. Waked is an amazing kind and caring surgeon. I think he is the reason I am still here."
"Dr. Waked is the cardiologist that takes care of both of my parents. My parents are ages 92 and 93. To say we are impressed with his level of expertise, care and ability to clearly explain options for each of their cases, would be a great understatement. My parents look forward to their appointments with him. I hope the negative comments that show up on this website do not deter someone from trying to see Dr. Waked. My suggestion is to try for yourself. If we could give a 10-star rating, we would. Thank you, Dr. Waked, and the entire staff at Riverside Cardiology Associates. We have received nothing but exemplary care from all of you!"
