"This hospital use your Insurance as a determining factor in whether or not they want to help you. They gave me mediocre care, called a social worker on me because my daughter was with me while I was sick in the ER. One of the doctors told me that my heart was enlarged, only to be told by that same doctor that it is fine on another visit. The nurses stand outside at their workstations and gossip about the patients, loud enough to where you can hear them. Iv’e visited this hospital a few times within a month, and each visit I had, there were also a few patients who had also visited the hospital a few times within a month all complaining about the same thing. they get discharged from the hospital not well and end up going back with the same issue the following week. This hospital should be close down. Furthermore there should be an investigation with these doctors looking at a patient’s insurance. Doctors should never have access to the patient’s insurance, nor should they look at it before they treat a patient, it is against the law these doctors have no integrity."

"Beware of this ER... I have been to this hospital's ER about 5 times over the years I have lived in Marina Del Rey, If you do not have a truly life threatening emergency, I HIGHLY recommend you go somewhere else, preferably UCLA or the real Cedars-Sinai in Beverly Hills. My experiences have been nothing but unpleasant, pre- and post Cedars purchase. There are some good doctors here but if I were to guess what the problems is, it's that the doctors and nurses are overworked, they handle too many patients for the size of the place. Let me provide an anecdote : I drove my friend to this Cedars who was undergoing an allergic reaction . First, at intake they make you sign a slew of documents that you have no opportunity to review ( can't be legal) meanwhile he is actively having an allergic reaction. Upon satisfaction his insurance was up to snuff, they sit him in the waiting room to wait for his name to be called.They got to him quickly to be fair; within 5 minutes. Once he was admitted, vitals checked and placed in a hospital bed, a woman followed by 2 nurses approaches my friend, confirms who he is, and starts to berate him over his USE of benadryl and epinephrine, medication prescribed to him for this express moment. I was so floored and evidently my expression showed it, because one of the nurses circled back to apologize for her. We left as soon as my friend was able. I seriously doubt she meant to treat my friend the way she did, but her lack of bedside manner was so appalling it inspired me to write my first review ever. I have even more stories about this place, including a "policy" that they have here that for sure violates HIPPA. In conclusion, if you are minutes from death, this is your place. However, if you estimate your time on earth to be any longer than 35- 40 minutes consider going somewhere else."

"This office staff is TERRIBLE! Per our insurance, we can go to this office for urgent care if our doctor isn't available (he isn't). I called and spoke to them to verify this beforehand, I also called our doctor's office and they also verified this. An hour later my little brother goes in and they tell him they no longer take our insurance nor are they part of the group. They want him to pay $250 for the office visit or go elsewhere. Obviously this upsets him and he drives back home. I call the insurance who then calls the medical group and they confirm the office is still affiliated, then the insurance proceeds to call the office and they "apologize" for the mistake and say the would be willing to see us any other time we might need them. Well, we needed them today! How easy for them to say that when their office is going to close in 30 minutes and we can't drive there again!"

"I have been going to Dr. Barone for the last 3 years and highly recommend her. I see her for general and gyno health. She is smart, warm and cares about her patients. The office staff can be difficult to get in touch with, but in my experience they generally get back to you within the same day (unless you say it's urgent in your voicemail, then they'll get back to you within an hour or so). They're also great about billing and don't charge for simple follow up stuff, i.e. giving you lab results. Deborah and the rest of the nursing and medical assistant staff have always made me feel comfortable and taken care of. The office is in a convenient location and if you don't want to pay for parking in the hospital lot, there are several grocery store and strip mall parking lots nearby. Overall, five stars!"

"I have been using Dr Steinberg for a few years now and like him very much. He is sensitive and very knowledgable. But Lidia and the office staff, forget it...Lidia is rude, does not call back if you leave a message either. Then when you finally reach her she has no idea you have called or left her a message. My pharmacy has been calling for a 2 weeks now to renew my prescription with no call back from the doctors office.. What a business? I guess I can't be picky really, I go in 2 times a year for $100 check-ups, so they are not making much on me..What can I expect..."
