"I've been to so many doctors in Germany, but I’ve never learnt so many things about my ears, as I’ve heard from him today. In my opinion he is the best doctor I’ve ever met! Thank you doctor!"
"Last night, I had and appt and my wife came along. LSS: She knows A LOT about physicians. In her words (paraphrased) "he is a really good doctor. I watched the way you interacted which impressed me and he really took the time to clearly explain things to you." He mixes his care with humor and I think he's hilarious. If you don't like Dr Savage, I diagnose you as needing a funny bone transplant!!!"
"We were visiting SFO and my husband fell ill unfortunately. The hotel put us to the clinic. Called at 11am and managed to get an appointment with Dr Savage at 1pm. We were attended to and triaged by the nurse who was very warm and friendly. Waited about an hour before we saw the doctor, believe he was out for another consultation. Anyhow, Dr Savage was thorough and informative about my husband’s condition and gave some good and useful advice and tips to manage and prevent sinus-related problems, and even dishing out some sound advice on parenting :) quite a funny guy! Fees including medicine is not cheap compared to home, probably 5x more, but this is America, healthcare is not cheap and accessible especially for non-residents. All good though, we get peace of mind with a good consultation and meds. Would recommend his clinic."
"Dr. Savage has been my personal physician for nearly 20 years. He’s always been able to “squeeze” me in on short notice, and he’s one of those rare doctors who makes it a point to really know his patients. Even more, his priority is to provide you with immediate relief from whatever ails you. Whether it’s the flu or a strained back, Dr. Savage listens carefully and administers a healthy dose of empathy and medical knowledge. Sometimes you don’t even have to tell him what’s bothering you—like the time I was experiencing vertigo and he was able to determine that just by looking at me. He did an exam and determined that I had a sinus infection. One round of antibiotics later and I was right as rain. In the old days, doctors made house calls because in order to make a sound diagnosis they needed to see how their patients lived. Meaning, to be an effective physician, you have to really know your patients. Dr. Savage understands this like no other physician. Many thanks to you and your wonderful staff for many years of great care, Dr. Savage!"
"I'll give 2 stars because the manager finally decided to work with me, but still frustrated. Dr. Savage while friendly will talk about a lot of nonsense that when sick and exhausted is not what I wanted, however, I did get the antibiotic I needed in order to get better before flying home. For months I've been back and forth with insurance, beware this is a regular doctors office, NOT urgent care. I did not realize I needed authorization from my PCP before being seen. The office took my $40 copay and didn't say a thing. Several months later I get a bill for nearly $200 and my insurance won't cover it now because it's past 90 days. I've tried calling to talk to a manager at Traveler Medical Group, finally after 3 or 4 tries I talk to the manager who tells me to call my PCP and ask for a letter of authorization and I told her it's too late but she insists on it. I call my PCP's office and they say the same thing that it's past the 90 days and it's too late the system won't allow them to. Almost a year later I finally worked out a deal on the bill, but SO much time and energy was wasted. Please make sure you call your insurance company to confirm coverage or what you need to be covered because this office won't tell you otherwise."
