"Appalling billing practices. It’s is virtually impossible to obtain CPT procedure codes prior to your procedure. When I asked the physician assistant for the codes so I could call my insurance to see if it would be covered, she printed out the order, which only had the diagnosis code. Insurance said they needed the CPT code. So I went to the lab and asked them. They said they don’t have it and to call billing. Billing doesn’t answer and either sends you to a voicemail or an automated voice message says they’re busy and to call back later. So I go back to the doctor and ask the front desk if they can give me the CPT codes so I can check with my insurance. They say they don’t have that info and to call billing. What an absolute travesty. This hospital system is an inefficiently run joke. It’s designed so that you will never know whether your insurance will cover your treatment or not. You’re left having to hope and pray that you don’t get billed out of pocket later for thousands of dollars. Disgraceful."
"Smart docs and staff. They all have great empathy and command of their roles. It's a big place so there are exceptions, but in a place as large as the UCSF heath system, they have their "needs to improve " people, but who doesn't. Shout out to Miranda Dunlop MD. ! And team....!"
"General medicine the first floor and the second floor they are very racist and they know it MIRANDA DUNLOP IS RACIST WHITE WOMAN!!!!! They cover for her. She was racist towards two African-American women on the second floor of General medicine and was forced to take a leave of absence. !!!!!!I wouldn’t of gave them any stars They have no compassion and for a doctor to tell me that another doctor giving me medication that they don’t care about what the other doctors giving me and I’m already on high blood pressure pills and I’m taking a new medicine now they could affect my blood pressure and for her to show me NEGLECT !!!! it is not OK. She also was very rude to her coworkers while she was on the phone with me it doesn’t make any sense. Her name is Dr. MIRANDA B DUNLOP General medicine doctor on the second floor. She is very rude and disrespectful and AS an African-American woman with high blood pressure for you to tell me that what another doctor is giving me is not important and that you guys don’t need to know about what my other doctor is giving me that is an outright lie and how dare you lie to me like that. Here’s an update. I went back to the doctor Hannah Archibald, who told me that she would put a urine test in for me for my kidney. She didn’t put it in either. Neither did Ms. Dunlop now I am in pain went on a vacation couldn’t rest couldn’t sleep there’s a beautiful young lady by the name of Miss Williams that took care of me and gave me antibiotics. She tried to fix the problem, but the problem is the doctors and their NEGLECT!!!!!!!!!!"
"Carlin Senter MD is an EXCELLENT - internal medicine physician with additional expertise in sports medicine and orthopedics! She is brilliant, cordial, caring, knows how to work individually 1:1 with a patient to formulate a best plan for health optimization based on an evidence based practice! She is AWESOME!"
"This review is specifically for the patient care coordinators. Every single call with them they are unhelpful and are unable to point you in the right direction for anything. They kept telling me to call billing or my insurance, but after spending hours of me doing my own digging around I found I should of called the patient estimate program. It's kind of ridiculous that they don't even know the different departments at UCSF that could help you. They're worse than automated systems because they actually give you attitude; I'd much rather talk to a robot. Can't wait until their position is automated because its really a waste of money."
