"Molly is the sweetest I was very hesitant about going back to therapy but she is the sweetest and makes me feel so comfortable."
"First, I want to say that I talked to the owner and he listened to my concerns and made me feel HEARD. HOWEVER, I want to report the unprofessionalism of two of their therapists, with one being egregious, in my opinion. The first hiccup was with Monika Chalk. I had been trying to schedule an appointment for weeks before we FINALLY connected and got the ball running. I had always specified that I wanted TELEPHONIC family counseling because the other members were in various places and their work schedules wouldn't allow for in person sessions. I expressed this verbally on their voicemail and on their client portal. So, after weeks, I FINALLY connected with Monika Chalk. I the did the initial, LONG hour of " history " session. She then decided that she " didn't feel comfortable doing phone sessions ". Ok..... The owner called me and apologized for the misunderstanding and said that he would immediately refer me to a family therapist who didn't have a problem with telephonic sessions. He did in a timely manner and I was in contact with another counselor within a week. Now, in my opinion, here's the egregious part. CHARISSA RUUD. ( Last name pronounced RUDE, appropriately named) SHE IS THE WEIRD CHARACTER TO AVOID AT ALL COST! In my initial telephonic appointment with Charissa Ruud, she gave me a long dissertation of her thirty plus years of prior counseling experience, including years with prison inmates. After the initial, hour long " introduction " session, she left me a voice message stating that " she didn't feel comfortable with bringing in the other family members at this time and wanted to have more sessions with me first ". Ok, fair enough. It seemed like a reasonable request. So, I cleared my schedule around our TELEPHONIC session for the following week. First, she called me LATE. She had some kid screaming in the background and other distracting noises during our session. She had forgotten the fact that she had requested not to include the other family members in the first few sessions. Ok ..... She starts out asking me questions that she already asked me the previous week. She also starts asking the SAME questions in DIFFERENT ways. Just for preface, I am a strong and intelligent person. I have strong convictions. I try and stand for what I believe. I stand firm in my beliefs and convictions. I am not dogmatic, however. I DO realize that I am human and hold all the frailties that fallen mankind is plagued with since the fall of Adam. Even though I stand firm in my beliefs, I am open to hear and empathize/sympathize with others' feelings, opinions, beliefs, etc. When I speak about something that I TRULY feel and believe, I speak passionately and firm. I am not stubborn, obstinate, or dumb enough to believe that I have all the answers. Again, I am open to HEAR and process others' conflicting views and make the necessary changes. CHARISSA RUUD could not handle my intelligence and passionate way of expressing my views. Even though she touted her thirty years of prior counseling in my face, including years of prison inmates, she was unable and/or unwilling to handle my orated strong convictions and beliefs. At the start of this session, it seemed like she had already made a decision and was trying to create the " right atmosphere " in which to execute her predetermined position. So, again, she resumed asking me the SAME questions in DIFFERENT ways. I guess she thought she was dealing with a dummy and could do mental circles around me. She then stated that she had times of not being able to handle my passionate views in past SESSIONS. Mind you, we have only had ONE prior session. I told her the reason I employed her was to have a safe and controlled space in which to speak our peace and a qualified family therapist to mitigate our differences. She then stated that she didn't feel like she could control me or the other family members, whom she's never met. Then started to conjure up excuses. She said that she " didn't feel comfortable counseling " my family. WHAT!? Ok, you only just WASTED MY TIME!"
"They say they’ll call back within 48 hours and flat out LIE because they don’t call back. What kind of therapy clinic LIES to you right off the bat before ever speaking to anyone?? Probably millennials or Gen Z working there who have no work ethics AT ALL…"
