"It's a good school. For all the parents that worry about uniform, please don't. I used to go here, and it isn't that strict as you think it is. Your kid wont get sent home for wearing different color socks. It's expensive, but there's a good ratio of kids that just wear the top of the uniform and have sweatpants for the bottom. They really don't care about the hoodies, I personally wore a bunch of non-RiTechA hoodies to school and I was honestly fine. The logo stuff confuses most people, but it's really not what it seems. The teachers are very nice and understanding, but the food isn't too good."

"RiverIsland Academies claim to have same curriculum and opportunities for its students under various school branches but it is not the case. STEAM is highly marginalized as compared to RITechA. STEAM is generally treated as a school for poor families in River Islands with no music or sports classes as well as not at par online learning resources as compared to RITechA. There seems to be ONLY 1 nurse for all schools under it's umbrella who is always backlogged. Any student who takes off is automatically considered COVID+, then they need students to be tested at the clinic or health care provider but wont accept their own provided Rapid test kits. Staff never takes time to read emails or voicemails and would generally blame the system, which they have been doing for past 1 year."

"RiTechA really set the bar when they opened! We all live in a technology based world, and this was the perfect opportunity for our daughter. She attended 5th thru 8th grade at RiTechA and really excelled, making the Honor Roll list all three years. She learned how to build a power point presentation when she was in the 5th grade, which really came in handy for her Freshman year in high school, where there weren’t very many students that knew how to do that! As far as the uniforms- that made getting dressed for school SO EASY, and eliminated the issue of any unnecessary comparisons. The Principal, teachers and staff have always been very respectful, caring and honest. If you are looking for an exceptional school for your children, River Islands Technology Academy is the place♥️"

"Too much emphasis on having devices in hands and too much pressure for "college bound". No text books, only devices. When the websites go down, no way to teach. Not everyone needs to go to college. Tech/trade school, military or on the job training is also very viable but not at RiTech."
