"Agree with previous viewer about her inattentiveness. She is a sweetie but she will dismiss concerns. On top of this issue, her office admins have terrible social skills. They are the only Scripps office I have been to that had issues with BOTH of my insurances and denied me appointments when I really needed them for my son's immunizations. I found that super inappropriate. Switched offices, insurance is paying...no problems, no attitudes."

"My 10.5 month old son just got back from his first visit to his new pediatrician because he had a fever and we thought he probably had another ear infection. Turns out it was an ear infection, but that really has nothing to do with this review or my comments. I am writing this review for future parents of patients to read and take into consideration. Since this was my son’s first visit to his new doctor, the doctor took the time to thoroughly look him over. When the Dr. got to his penis, my wife asked, “is it supposed to look like that?” The Dr. replied, “I was just about to ask you about that.” Turns out (long story short) my poor little guy’s skin of his penis had attached to the head of his penis (he was circumcised at birth). This is something that I had asked Dr. Cataldo, 2, if not 3 separate times in the first few of months of doctor check-ups. She always blew it off and said, “it looks fine” with a smile. Well obviously it was not fine because our new doctor felt it was necessary to take care of the situation at his first visit today. My wife said it was bloody and absolutely horrifying!!! She said that he just laid there with his arms pinned down screaming while looking at her like, ‘what is she (the Dr.) doing and why are YOU letting her do it to me?!!!!!’ After reading the above comments, you may be asking why we switched doctors in the first place. Well, though I am extremely upset about this situation, I would like to start off by saying that Dr. Cataldo is a very nice lady and she seemed to treat our son well during the visits. The problem for us was that we are new parents and we could hardly ever get a straight answer out of Dr. Cataldo. She is the doctor, we have questions, she should give us answers or at least direction. We would ask a specific question about something like ‘crying it out’, homeopathic remedies, vaccinations, behavior, etc. and the usual reply would be something like, “you can try that” or “that might work”. Well, of course we could try that or it might work, that is why we are asking the questions!!!! My wife is in legal and I work in robotics, we are definitely educated individuals but we are definitely not medical doctors and the internet can only help to a point. All-in-all, I accompany this doctor review with 2 stars considering a 3 star score would be an average score. As a person I would give Dr. Cataldo 4.5 stars (nobody is perfect)."
