"This is the nicest shelter in the Sacramento area! We went to specifically look at cats and they had over 50. I highly recommend this location and the staff/volunteers were so kind, patient, and very informative."

"I had a not so nice experience of being placed on a waiting list for a beautiful brindle, and was called at 12pm on Sunday. It only took me 15 minutes to get there, but they had already given her to another interested party. We were SHOCKED! We were told it was first-come-first-serve. Then why even place us on a list??? Beautiful building. Fix your policy on wait list and adoption."

"Well what I had a concern about an animal being abused or neglected turns out the animal service officer is apparently in bed with a person that’s abusing these dogs and sees no harm done so this place is corrupt as ever. These dogs have been tied up to the camper for going on three days no food no water and they won’t do anything about it"
