"This "doctor" seems to be completely uncaring. My daughter is in a care home in Poway, outside of San Diego. Gerster is supposed to be in charge of her care. No one even told my daughter she's got Hep C, or given her any medication, not that she's aware of. My daughter Rachel just accidentally found out from some paperwork for disability. Gerster refuses to answer multiple calls. I'm on my daughters contact list so I have every right. I guess Gerster is hoping my daughter dies, so she will have less patients. She's completely mad. I'm taking steps with the Medical Board of California. I hope they take her license as soon as possible!! She's only examined my daughter one time since 2 October. In one month and 13 days."

"One of the best doctors I have ever met. Her ability to make correct diagnosis is simply impeccable. I went to several doctors in Kaiser before seeing her. Yes I paid cash for the visit but she was able to correctly figure out what my health problem was based on test results that were done in Kaiser. No run around no try this medication try that. Old school doc that listens to her patient and does not tell you oh it’s 20 minutes your appointment is done."

"What other doctor answers her own phone after hours? She doesn't speak down to you, she takes the time to answer your questions, she lays out the options, is completely transparent and compassionate when discussing your treatment. I am unimpressed with fancy offices, perky receptionists, phone messaging systems with a dozen options and not one of them with a live person. I crave the service of the old fashioned general practioner where you are a person and not a medical chart and that is why I like Dr. Gertser ."
