"My son and daughter attend SCVi and for the first time ever, are enthusiastic about what they’re learning and excited to share that with our family. They set their own learning goals and are incredibly proud when they accomplish them! I used to have the impression that this school was for “troubled” children, but now, I believe that if children are “troubled” and not getting the support they need, the school shares in some of that responsibility. I think it’s important for us as adults to stop stereotyping children who are struggling and come together as a community to support them, so thank you SCVi for doing just that! SCVi leadership and facilitators have my heart ❤️ because they genuinely enjoy my kids like I do!"

"We are a long time family of SCVi in Santa Clarita; my kids have attended for 9 years now and are graduating in a month. While I truly believe there is no perfect school, SCVi comes pretty darn close for us. It has allowed our kids (3 of them - all very different in learning styles) to flourish in their own strengths, while being supported and nurtured by an incredible staff of facilitators and educators. I am so grateful to them for providing a safe and exciting environment for my kids to learn and grow into the independent young adults they now are. All of my kids needed a little something different - they are all dynamic individuals who are carving their own paths; SCVi was able to hone in on their personal strengths and challenges - and cultivate a personalized learning plan for each of them, all the while stimulating them across the board with a variety of art, sports and multi-cultural opportunities. "My daughter has been going to SCVI since kindergarten, she's in 3rd grade now. The staff are very caring and supportive. They are genuinely interested in my child's development and helping her to succeed. The school is very hands on, and runs best when the parents take an active roll in their child's education and development. The classes are all - inclusive, meaning you will have children with different learning abilities and needs in the same class. SCVI is a wonderful fit for my daughter. She loves coming to school each day and is excited to learn! We are thankful to have such a great school available in our area!"

"My son is so much happier and engaged in learning since coming to SCVi. The project-based learning model makes so much more sense nowadays. He also is forced to take more personal responsibility for his work and is not motivated solely by grades or fear of teachers. The restorative justice model also enables me to feel confident that problems will be resolved fairly. He is respectful in dealing with "authority figures" because they act respectfully toward him."

The Facilitators actually care about each and every student. The project based learning has my kids excited to go to school. The parent involvement is not only welcome but is expected.
