"I've been trying to get a Pre Authorization for a medication that I've been using for over a year now. Just because my insurance changed, the doctor wanted me to come in person to be evaluated again, so he can write me a prescription for the same medication. Seemed fishy and like a desperate attempt to get his in-person-visits quota up after being closed for so long due to covid. I go in (all the way across town) and they refuse to see me because my insurance was not up-to-date. This was the beginning of April. After getting my new insurance figured out I call back to have him send a pre-authorization to my new insurance for the medication. A few days go by and I call to see what the hold up is. They tell me they are waiting for my insurance to approve the pre-authorization. Another couple of days go by and I call back - they now tell me they sent the PA with the wrong insurance info (only just now realizing this mistake after I had to ask what info they were using) and that I needed to go to MyHealthOnline and wait for a message from their offices to follow a link to change my insurance info. So I go to the site, see no new messages, but I see that my old insurance info is still on my profile, after deleting this info and adding my new insurance information I call back the next day for an update. They tell me my info has not been updated on their end yet. This is about the fifth time I've called up and probably the 3rd time I've given them my new insurance information. They tell me they will send a note to the doctors office with my new info and that the PA is going thru some intermediary company called PayForMyMeds or something and that they will send it again. I get a call from the actual doctors office later that day reassuring me that they are working on it and they have not forgotten. Another weekend goes by and I call up today to check the status. Once again they tell me that my info has not been updated and the last note on my chart says that they were waiting for me to update my insurance info with them. There was no note pertaining to the conversation I had last week when I gave them all my insurance information for a 3rd time. The operator tells me he will send a high priority note to the doctor's office (again, probably the 4th time I've heard this exact statement) and that they will contact me within 24 hours. It turns out that the number I've been calling is just a call center that forwards messages from my end to the actual doctor's office and it would appear that there is a very strong disconnect between the two. I don't know how such "high priority" information can keep getting lost in translation and why I can't just call and talk to the actual secretary at the office (or my actual doctor for that matter) but because of this I've been out of my asthma medicine for about 3 weeks now and it's taken a heavy toll on my mental and physical health and is very very frustrating. Update: After being told again yesterday by the call center staff (NOT the Medical Assistant from the actual doctor’s office) that they are awaiting the pre authorization still and they would contact me within 24 hours, I called again this morning. Yet AGAIN they tell me the same exact thing and that the Medical Assistant would contact me after lunch. So I waited and waited and no call came thru - I called back and asked to be put thru to the actual doctor’s office and was told that they are unavailable. Again they tell me I will be contacted within 24 hours for an update. I will be going into the office tomorrow (all the way across town) in person to figure out what the hold up is once and for all, since the call center people have no information and I highly doubt that the Medical Assistant or Doctor will actually contact me tomorrow. Will update again tomorrow. -Aidan Magsanay"

"Dr. Delatore is a great person, he is not only very knowledgeable about his profession, but he cares, he listens and he is always present and attentive."
"I’m so grateful to have Dr. Delatore as our primary care physician. He always makes sure that all our questions are answered and checks up to make sure that our care plan is on track. He truly cares about his patients and their well-being."
"(Actual name is Kyle Chapman) I was a patient with Dr. Delatore for approximately one year. During this time Dr. Delatore consistently did things to roadblock my treatment as. I have a clear idea of what I want and what I am interested in as a patient and in reference to medical treatments. Dr. Delatore would consistently override and overrule my opinions and preferences then impose his own on me. Additionally Dr. Delatore would tell lies to cover up his and his staff's incompetence and ineptitudes. One example would be the ordering of a sleep study and subsequent ordering of a CPAP machine to treat my severe sleep apnea. This whole process was botched by Dr. Delatore and his staff resulting in months of unnecessary suffering. even resulting in my falling asleep at the wheel of my vehicle and crashing it on the freeway due to severe lack of sleep from my sleep apnea. I would recommend any potential patients considering Dr. Delatore to look elsewhere for a primary care physician."
