"Dr Daniels’ neglect is responsible for my son’s death. My 38 year old son was a patient of Dr Daniels. He was undergoing Immunotherapy. We were told he may only need one more infusion, his fourth. This led us to believe he was responding well to treatment. My son had contracted what appeared to be a cold. His mucus, however, was clear. He was going through kleenexes trying to clear his sinuses. We called Dr Daniels about every other day asking what my son should do for this cold. We were told by his PA of several over the counter options and my son was eventually prescribed a ZPack.. after three doses, he had to stop taking it because his hands broke out in a rash. Never did Dr Daniels have my son come in for an exam. My son went to the ER because he was unable to keep food down. He was vomiting, but it was almost like spitting up. Not vomiting violently. But my son was extremely concerned. He had a CT scan at the hospital and the ER Dr said it showed no signs of a brain bleed, but that he should have an MRI to confirm. They sent us home and we were relieved. My son couldn’t get an MRI at UCSD until a full week after the CT scan. He died the morning of his scheduled MRI. We are devastated. I cannot believe that Dr Daniels would neglect seeing my son when we were calling the office and speaking to his PA every other day, that my son , his patient, had been to the ER and had a CT scan. There is no excuse for making my son wait a week for an MRI. Dr Daniels neglected my son. This cost us his life."
