Reviews
"Dr. Tan saw my husband, who had an array of problems. Based on his symptoms my M.D. nephew thought he should see a hematologist/oncologist to rule out multiple myeloma, and recommended City of Hope. She is one of their top doctors in both of these specialties. Dr. Tan went right to work ordering tests and exploring the problems in detail. She followed up on everything even after MM was ruled out. Because of her doggedness in figuring out causation of his symptoms, we learned he has ankylosing spondylitis and coronary artery disease, which are now being addressed. She is an amazing physician — caring, empathetic, supremely well credentialed but also able to explain complex medical issues in a way non-physicians can understand. She takes the time to get to know her patient and his unique history. Dr. Tan doesn’t see her role as siloed into a narrow specialty but as part of a medical team looking at the whole picture. I can’t recommend Dr. Tan enough. She is amazing."
