"Not one time in over 2 years has dr Thropay’s staff in Montebello office ever made is easy to make an appointment on time . They lie about when they’re going to call you back they don’t return phone calls they always lie and tell you your authorization has been submitted when they forget to. When in cancer treatment this is someone’s loved one that’s paying for their mistakes and blames. I’ve seen them talking about and putting their patients phone calls on hold while they’re complaining about them. They seem to have the same issues as me. Once they put my phone call on hold and told me Zulema wasn’t there in office and I was calling from outside walked in and guess who’s there. Then they somehow magically did my authorization and appointment that evening. Would not recommend this place .Their office in placentia was very helpful during this difficult time and spoke to this office . I’m sure unfortunately whatever bad reviews they get has nothing to do with dr Thropay but his bad Montebello staff."

"As a registered nurse, I would never recommend this clinic to my loved ones. I called this clinic everyday for 3 weeks asking when my iodine radiation treatment for my thyroid could be scheduled, they blamed my insurance was holding them up as a scan still needed to be approved. Finally, I got fed up and called my insurance, ready to get to the bottom of what was taking them so long to approve my scan. They stated they have never received a request for a scan. What a joke. Finally, I start my low iodine diet in preparation for my radioactive iodine appt and I asked Dr. Thropay if my TSH level needs to be above a certain number before the radiation. He states my TSH level needs to be above 70. Since my TSH level resulted as 1.84 I ask him if I could still get my treatment and he said no, my procedure needed to be postponed and that I would need to receive special medication to raise my TSH called thyrogen. Three weeks later, they call me to tell me that they realized that since I have hyperthyroidism, and not thyroid cancer, that I could have gone through with the treatment after all and that there was no minimum TSH requirement needed for my particular condition. Read your patient’s charts, know their history and diagnosis. These are basic and expected concept of patient care. I called my insurance and begged them to send me somewhere else and told them I felt unsafe receiving my care from this team and thank God, they referred me to another practice."

"Dr. Thropay and his staff are God sent! He made me feel good eventhough I was seeing him for something so scary. I really hope to make arrangements and get to have him as my primary care physician. (As well as the specialist) id give 20 starts if possible!"
