"Came to the ER and had the worst experience ever! ER was empty when I got here but still waited 4+ hrs just to be told nothing helpful. Not sure there was an even a doctor because I didn’t see one. The nurses weren’t helpful which I understand they are doing what they can, but a male nurse came at me very threatening saying that I could leave because others have been waiting 5 hours (woooow a whole hour more than me). Also, the bathroom was disgusting!"
"Horrible experience waited 4 hours to get x-ray results! Came in and there was nobody! The place was empty, since then 3 people have came in after me and left. Waste of a very expensive copay that i will never get back along with 4 hours of waiting for nothing. Never returning here again, will much rather drive to a neighboring hospital for better care. We waited for a doctor to review the x-rays with no luck. I asked a x-ray tech if the results were good or bad and in her own words she said “I don’t get paid enough to give those results”"
"I have been disabled since 1964. now confined to a wheelchair. I used to call Beverly Hospital my home, as of 2/23/2024 I broke my tibula-fibula of my right leg. Because my leg did not need surgery the wanted to release Sat.!! I waited about 10 hrs in ER before getting a room and a Dr. Saab wanted me to leave Saturday night since i did not require surgery being disabled for 60 yrs, I knew that 2 days would be enough for me to feel secure in being D/C'd! . This Dr.Saab (admit Provider) wanted me out Sat. night, extremely arrogant, had the audacity to ask me what my goal was? he began to use "SCARE" tactics by telling me Im being exposed to a myriad of diseases that i could catch but the Dr. did not wear a mask?! kind of hypocritical don't you think. Sun. he apologized for making me feel as if he was throwing me out ! I would not dignify that with an answer. He then proceeded to try and D/C called Dr.Pelton who just reiterated Dr. Saab. I requested a SocWorker but there was no one on duty, so i could file a grievance against him and the hospital and asked him about JCAHO, he was dumbfounded and did not know so I explained it to Dr. Saab, he left and I was D/C'd this afternoon 2/26/24. which is all i requested from him on Fri. was 2 days under observation and i would graciously leave. The staff was sitting around and a few nurses did there job, in my situation RN SOL and another RN whose name i do not recall were checking on me and made sure I was ok! I thank them for all they did and remembered they were former "Beverly Hospital" employees, you could see the difference in their bedside manner. Dr. Saab's behavior and his articlation was that of an inexperienced "Ambulance Chaser" he wanted turnover and more patients, he had no bedside manner, his anxiety to get me out of the hospital was with determination, he put me on the defensive and unfortunately and I considered it harassment (CPC 646.9) the hospital seems to be more of an overflow hospital and if you cant make them money then you are discharged ! I pray the hospital gets better administration and doesnt take this out on its employees and most of all relieve Dr. Saab of his duties, he is not qualified !! I will not be a statistic for any hospital........"
"Had surgery here June 30th. Special bed is required. Sent to Snf. Snf did not have bed needed. Returned to Beverly Hospital. Was stuck in emergency room cold storage for 4 days. Had to buy my food off uber eats. Had to drink water out of fluid measuring container. Fresh out of surgery and was left, and ignored in cold storage. Had to advocate for myself to receive post surgical care. It took me two days of no doctor ordered post surgical care while in cold storage to convince them to treat surgical site as ordered. Nursing staff treated me like a step-child. Took my dignity and talked down to me. I am still here at Beverly Hospital 10 days after my surgery without the required bed. I have been stuck on my left side since they made this mistake. They have put me on the back burner and have forgotten about me. They sleep nice and comfortable at night. I am stuck on my left side in pain. I can't understand how this happened to me. Why would they try to send me somewhere that didn't have the bed ordered? Now I am stuck here at their mercy. It is very painful laying on my left side. This place does not care. Made it up to a room finally. Still on my side. Notes say bed ordered. Tacking # pending. I guess I'll be here like this a few more days. Very uncomfortable and painful."
