"Usually I would give Dominican breast center 4 stars as I have been going there for years, and I’m grateful to them for finding my breast cancer. This visit was different. After recently having biopsy’s then two major surgeries in 2022/23, going for this appointment was harder and very triggering as you can imagine! On arrival I let the receptionist know I was there for an ultrasound, which I had previously arranged to pay out of pocket. She informed me that I was there for a mammogram and ultrasound. I told her that I was not and she proceeded to explain a mammogram to me. I felt vulnerable and unheard, I felt like I had to defend myself In the reception area, obviously I'm not allowed mammograms post surgery. Then the Mammography technician appeared and tried to help. She said because of billing codes etc they had me down for both. She was quite abrupt with me and hadn’t been there for the entirety. She took be back and abruptly told me to disrobe from the waist up! I’m upset that I was treated in such a manner but more so that nobody said sorry for the confusion. Luckily the ultrasound technician was lovely and very polite. You can’t treat patients with such disrespect! I would never tolerate this from another service or industry."
"I went in for a mammogram last year and they told me that my lump had not grown and that it was still point .8cm. I could feel it was bigger and they confirmed that in fact. I was right and it went from point .8cn to 1.6 cm. The we're so persistent that it had not grown until they had to double check. Why was I the one to find out it doubled in size after the ultrasound. I call today to make an appointment to get it removed because it hurts! and the person I spoke to was so mean, rude, unprofessional and lack of empathy. I had simple questions. I was confused and she had no concern or sense of urgency. And made me feel stupid for asking such simple question. I wonder how she would feel if she had a lump in her breast that hurt especially when. I had a biopsy done 7 years ago and they told me it was benign.I But since it's doubled in size and hurts. I want it removed and I think any woman would especially if you're a single mother of three children whose lives depend on your life want to do is have it removed because I believe. If it turned malignant and if God forbid something happens to me, I blame them for their due lack of professionalism and urgency."
"Excellent, professional and friendly staff!"
