About Us

AMNA Dance is a nurturing institution located at 676 South Rosemead Boulevard in Pasadena, California, United States. Our company mantra is to shape children in a non-competitive, nonjudgmental, kind, loving, tolerant, forgiving, and empowering environment. We believe in teaching dance mindfully to foster creativity and expression in our students.
Our Exploring Toddlers division introduces young children to creativity, movement, and music through dance and imagination. Students learn Bollywood, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Latin technique and choreography in preparation for our annual spring recital. Our goal is to empower students to strengthen their self-confidence and self-love.
We offer classes for students to become 'All Around Dancers' and make informed decisions on which dance styles they would like to specialize in. Our unique class program includes mindful techniques such as affirmations, goal-setting, meditation, and visualization. The classes consist of non-stop dancing and technical choreography, with no previous dance or music knowledge required.
Our curriculum focuses on four trendy dance styles: Bollywood, Hip-Hop, Jazz/Lyrical, and Latin, with each style being emphasized every 6-8 weeks. We are dedicated to empowering the body and soul through mindful teaching and creating a positive environment for our students.
Join us to learn and enjoy Bollywood, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Latin dance styles throughout the year. Membership is easy, and registration is ongoing. We offer free trial classes for those interested in experiencing our school before enrolling.
At AMNA Dance, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to explore their passion for dance, regardless of their family's financial situation. With our NO CHILD GETS TURNED AWAY policy, you can help sponsor a child's dance education, and we will match your contribution and cover any remaining fees. Thank you for being a part of our community and helping to inspire the next generation of dancers.

"Amna is an amazing dancer, choreographer and human being. Kids love to learn from her. She has great experience in teaching different dance forms and loves the fact that kids get to learn and perform various dancing styles each term. Her dance recitals are grand. Her ladies Bollydio is a great combo of cardio + fun choreography. Recommend AMNA Dance to anyone who is looking for a great environment for learning any dancing style from very talented and humble instructors."
"I suffer from White Man Syndrome - the number one killer of rhythm worldwide. I have flat feet and no dance experience. Plus my wife loves to dance. For our wedding, we had to dance a waltz, hip-hop, bollywood style, and everything else all night long. Thankfully we were referred to AMNA Dance. Amna was great at teaching us and came up with awesome dance routines. She was always patient, took the time to get to know us and how we think so she can adjust her instructions in a way we both understood and can follow. I never thought it was possible for me learn to dance and look natural. The wedding turned out great and we danced the entire night. Thank you for everything Amna."
"From our experience this dance company doesn't really care about individual instruction, pace of each student, or parents feedback. Review for Ms Pinky, never met Ms Amna Many issues: - Money makers : they charge for every little thing. For our group they charged for the free trial, after the fact, and dance recital is also a class fee. Why would you charge recital as a class fee when we are paying over $25 a ticket to watch our own kid? Additionally at recital they don't allow you to photo video your own kid because they want you to buy their dvd $$. Show program is another $5. - Instruction time: it was suppose to be a 45 mins class but she taught 30-35 mins & ended the class 10-15 mins early. Despite parents calling out this behavior, teacher went on defensive and nothing changed for 6 months. She never cared to work individually with any - Teacher doesn't have experience to manage 4-5 year olds. One day we found all our kids sitting on the school steps and she tells us the kids were too rowdy, I ended class early. - high priced $60 costumes which were completely see through fabric, poor quality design and inappropriate showing off stomach for girls and full chest for boys. A Disney store dress or even Walmart dress would have been prettier and cheaper. -over enrollment - maximizing her revenue fully at the cost of poor instruction. Ms Pinky was trying to teach 18 kids in one class and having us moms beg them to split to 2 classes since it was pure chaos in class. She Claimed to have a 2nd teacher who turned out to be a 4th grader from crescent elementary, (complete joke). I don't understand, why allow enrollment for student #9-18 until you have 2nd class time figured out? - For each issue brought up above Ms Pinky had a defensive response but no solutions to appease the parents. I'm sure the response to this review will be same. If you'd like to know details of our montessori experience pm me or can connect you with the other parents. Overall most of us were not happy. Sad because all us moms want indian dance for our kids. Only positive, the kids learned what they could (with a lot of home practice) and got a chance to perform on a stage. Will try NDM or ADAA or Joya Kazi but not this for sure."
